The movie-going public is being kept in the dark about a number of Johnny Depps’ upcoming movies, including a movie starring John C. Reilly.
In a letter sent Tuesday to Hollywood producers and distributors, the Los Angeles Times obtained a letter from the California Department of Public Health and the Los Angles County Public Health Commission explaining that the health department is unable to comment on the films’ content until a public health assessment has been completed.
In November, the Times reported that several Depp films have been found to contain a number: “J.D., Jr.,” “Bond,” “Logan Lucky,” “Dunkirk,” “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” “Saw” and “The Devil’s Backbone.”
Depp and Reilly’s upcoming projects include the upcoming “Bold” and the upcoming comedy “A Good Day to Die Hard.”
In a statement on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the actor said: “We are working with the Department of Health to finalize our film content plans for this year, including how we will approach the use of artificial light and artificial sounds.
As part of that process, we will continue to share all information regarding any of our films with the public, including their potential health risks.”
