When the Trump administration says you can’t tweet about Tom Cruise, you should probably just not watch his movies

The Trump administration said on Monday that Tom Cruise movies are “not appropriate for a public forum” and that “there is no place in this country for political commentary” in films.
It also announced that it is banning “any unauthorized speech and conduct” at any of the company’s movie theaters.
Cruise, who has been a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, has been accused of being a “perpetrator of sexual assault” and of using his wealth to sexually harass women, among other alleged acts.
The ban is in response to complaints about Cruise’s political views, and to the ongoing investigation into his conduct.
In his weekly column for the Hollywood Reporter, Cruise called the ban “a big step forward” and said he was proud to be a part of it.
“This is a big step in bringing some sanity to the political arena,” he said.
“But it is also a step backwards.
Tom Cruise has not behaved in a way that would allow him to be trusted as president.
And it’s time for that to change.”
In a separate statement, Cruise apologized to women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, and he said that the decision to ban political commentary is “not about me or Tom.”
“I deeply regret my actions and the way I have treated women over the years,” Cruise said.
The statement also said that his public statements on matters of sexual harassment and assault were not “condemned or condoned by anyone at the company.”
It said Cruise “will not be commenting on the specifics of this matter, which have been thoroughly investigated.”
According to Cruise’s lawyer, Matt O’Connor, the president and CEO of Universal Pictures Entertainment, the company had no plans to appeal the ban.
The White House released a statement to Breitbart News saying, “The President continues to believe that Tom and his family are deserving of the highest level of public support and respect.
We have been supportive of Mr. Cruise’s work as a humanitarian and entertainer and believe he should not be subject to the same political censorship that his family has been subjected to.”
In response to the ban, Tom Cruise’s spokesperson released a short statement: The Tom Cruise movie ‘Casino Royale’ is not appropriate for any public forum.
Tom has spent his life in public service, and as a former military pilot and Navy SEAL, he has made no apologies for his personal beliefs.
Tom’s family and the film industry are the most generous people and will continue to support Tom’s mission to make movies that are inspiring, entertaining and have a positive impact on our nation.
Tom and Universal Pictures are committed to giving back to the communities where they have made their careers, and Tom has done so by taking on significant leadership roles in local theaters throughout his career.
Tom will continue in that role by raising awareness of the positive impact his movies have had on the communities he serves.
Tom is proud to continue making movies that empower people to pursue their dreams, while at the same time respecting the rights of others.
He continues to support and fight for the causes he believes in, and is honored to continue to serve our country.
