‘Narnia’ and ‘Upcoming Marvel’ star Williams on the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off trilogy: ‘It’s great to be back’

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is one of the most anticipated films of the year, and its new trailer is sure to make the fans in the audience excited for what lies ahead.
But one of William’s favorite Disney characters, Queen Amidala, is also a part of the film.
In the latest episode of the podcast series, The Disney Insider, William and his co-host, Jason Pargin, talked with the cast of “Star Wars: Episode VIII” about the possibility of a spin-offs, which they also discussed.
“When I saw the trailer for ‘The Last Jedi’ last week, I thought ‘Oh my god, this is so good,'” William said.
“This is going to be a real blast, and the idea that I will get to play that part again is a dream come true.”
“It’s a really cool concept,” he added.
“It really would be something we would love to do.
And it just seems so fun.
I’m just going to love it.”
“We have a great idea about how to go about doing it, but we don’t want to just get in a room and start making a movie,” Pargins co-anchor Michael Schur added.
Parginos co-stars, “Captain Underpants” creator Paul Scheer and director Rian Johnson, also weighed in on the matter.
“I’m really excited to see what comes next from ‘The Star Wars’ franchise,” Johnson said.
But he added, “I have to be honest, I don’t really know much about it.
We’ll see what happens with the new trilogy.
I do know that there’s going to come a time in the future where we’re going to have to do more with ‘The Force Awakens.'”
“We know it’s a franchise and a brand that will go on forever, so we’re trying to create a new story, a new way of telling it,” he continued.
“But right now, we’re in the process of finding the right people, the right characters and the right story to tell.
We’ve already got our first director in place, so that’s exciting, but I think it’s something that we need to focus on.”
“Upcoming ‘Star Trek’ spinoff series” also discussed a possible spin-on series for “Star Trek Beyond,” which would see new crew members like Sulu and Uhura join a larger cast.
“There are so many great things that could happen in the ‘Beyond’ universe,” Johnson noted.
“We’re excited about that, because it’s our passion and it’s what we’ve always wanted to do.”
“Star wars has always been a huge part of our lives, and ‘Star wars: Beyond’ has just as much potential,” Piers said.
“[The movie] is going in a different direction and is going for a different story, but that’s great, and we’ll be seeing more of it.”
